GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT ACTIVE INGREDIENTS.

BEE VENOM

Bee venom is a product secreted by a special gland in the body of working honeybees. Bee venom contains many powerful healing components with unique pharmacological properties. These include 11 peptides, 5 enzymes, 3 physiologically active amines, carbohydrates, lipids and amino acids.

Bee venom VENZTM as a food supplement

For the first time in New Zealand a new health product with bee venom for oral use has been developed and produced by ApiHealth NZ Ltd . This is Manuka Honey with bee venom for human consumption. This products provide an alternative method of achieving the same health benefit of bee sting therapy, but without the pain.

Production technology has been developed and patented by ApiHealth (NZ patent #333790).

Dr. Nikolai Nikolaev suggested using dry bee venom powder VENZTM for making honey based products and developed the technology of mixing both liquid and dry honey with dry bee venom. The safe and beneficial health dosage of bee venom in the products was scientifically substantiated, as outlined below. This technology was recognized as innovative (NZ patent #333790). The main advantage of this technology is the possibility of standardization of bee venom dosage in a final product. Another advantage is preservation of biologically active components of honey and bee venom and their healing properties during a long period of time.

How does bee venom work?

Bee venom peptides have systemic action: anti-inflammatory, anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-pyretic, stimulating vascular permeability.

There are different mechanisms of bee venom action in the body – indirectly through hormone system and directly on cardiovascular system.

1. Indirectly, through hormone system.

The healing effect of Bee venom is caused by its stimulating the function of adrenal gland indirectly through hypophysis. Due to this stimulation process more adrenal hormones such as cortisone and hydrocortisone are generated in blood. These hormones provide healing effect, increasing resistibility of the body against various unfavourable factors. But bee venom healing action not only connected with stimulation of adrenal gland

2. Bee venom effects cardiovascular system directly.

  • it widens blood vessels and decreases blood pressure.
  • bee venom is very effective against hypertension.
  • reduces blood coagulability and increases hemoglobin level.

Russian scientists have discovered that bee venom contributes to capillary vessels and small artery distention, increasing the blood surge to the organs and promoting metabolism improvement. Since bee venom increases the content of haemoglobin and leukocytes in blood and decreases blood thickness and coagulability, it can be very helpful for people having susceptibility to trombophlebitis. Bee venom promotes decrease of cholesterol content in blood, provides tonic effect for a heart muscle, and decreases blood pressure.

It improves patients overall state of health, appetite and sleep, increases vitality. It is good for body strengthening and pain relief.( Krylov,1995 )

GINSENG

Called the "King of Herbs", ginseng is the best-known herb of all time to longevity enthusiasts. The Taoists say that ginseng has the strongest ability of any herb to condense the earthly ch'i and the five elemental energies into its root. Thus it can impart the "three vitalities" (ch'i, jing and shin) to anyone who partakes of it. Ginseng is renowned and revered for its ability to impart clarity of mind and awareness to its users.

In the first recorded Chinese treatise on herbs, Shen Nung said: "Ginseng is a tonic to the five viscera, quieting the animal spirits, stabilizing the soul, preventing fear, expelling the vicious energies, brightening the eye and improving vision, opening up the heart benefiting the understanding, and if taken for some time will invigorate the body and prolong life..."

Ginseng root is said to aid in replacing ch'i to the body’s meridians and organs. It develops the center (earth element) and supplies an adaptability to stressful situations. Its name means "essence of the earth in the form of a man".

The chief constituents of ginseng are largely long chain polysaccharides, saponins, ginsenins, panoxic acid, panaxin, panaquilon, elemental minerals, and some B vitamins as well as other substances.

Saponins are considered to be the chief constituents of ginseng, together with many other elements, which have been shown in research to be just as important. The ability to aid in stress and action as an adaptogen has brought ginseng into the spotlight of modern herb consumers and has spurred much research.

In addition to the alterative effect on the entire body, ginseng has a very beneficial effect on the heart and circulation, modulating not only blood pressure but blood cholesterol as well. It stimulates the secretion of pepsin and relieves indigestion and eructations.

Ginseng is used generally for its tonic and adaptogenic benefits and its ability to increase strength and energy as well as its reported use as a longevity herb. Taoists have used it for hundreds of years for quieting the spirit in a manner much like the famous Reishi Mushroom. In Russia ginseng is recommended to people over the age of forty for a six-week program of use annually.

MANUKA HONEY

Manuka honey is a superior treatment for wounds and infections. Manuka honey is gathered in New Zealand from Manuka bush, Leptospermum scoparium, which grows uncultivated throughout the country. Research by Dr. Peter Molan MBE of Waikato University has shown that Manuka honey has very potent anti-bacterial activity and very effective in destroying many stains of bacteria.

HOW TO TAKE Manuka VENZ TM Ginseng

The Bee Venom concentration in one jar of the honey is 25 ppm, which equals to half a bee sting in each teaspoon of honey. These doses are comfortable and safe, compared to traditional bee sting therapy. The dosage may vary, depending on the patient’s health condition/fitness level.

We would recommend the first intake should be half teaspoon of honey with venom (0.25 sting) taken without any food or drink. This initial dose is 4 times lower than one sting, and is specifically designated in accordance with BV Therapy requirements. The dose is much more comfortable and safe when compared to a physical and painful Bee sting Therapy plan.

If no allergic reaction occurs, increase the dosage gradually up to 2-3 teaspoons daily depending on your condition. Please, don't take any food or drink together with the honey, as long as stomach enzymes will destroy all bee venom components. Keep honey in mouth until it will be completely dissolved. The major advantage of creamed honey as a carrier is that its consistency helps to increase the absorption in the mouth, and, therefore, the healing effect of the bee venom product is much higher.

PRECAUTION:

People who have allergic reactions to bee sting should seek medical advice before using Manuka VENZTM Ginseng.
